PROJECT GLOBAL SURGERY: Madagascar

Madagascar is one of the many countries in Africa with a critical lack of essential surgery capacity. Of its population of 21 million, including – children, the overwhelming majority do not have adequate access to safe, basic surgical care.

Our Solution:

With Operation Smiles and the Malagasy Ministry of Health, WCI is developing in-country capacity and skill to perform essential surgical procedures like
c-sections, appendectomies, and bone repairs.
